Temperature Gauge rises to H

My '89 Prelude 2.0SI temperature gauge rises to H and then lowers back to C level after 10 minutes of driving. This happens every morning or whenever it sits idle for some time. I've had my heaer hose and radiator hose bust and then replace. Is this an indicator of something else that I need to change?

check and make sure your cooling fans come on while its idling... could be a switch not turning your fans on and when you drive it cools back down.... it will eventually blow your head gasket if it keeps overheating...
