ABS Light On

My ABS light came on in my 98 cavalier RS. No other engine lights came on. My brakes work fine, but when I tried to test the ABS on a rainy day it did not kick in. I was told it might be the ABS relay by the battery, but when I tried to replace the relay at Autozone they told me it could NOT be the relay; it has to be the brakes. Fuses are fine. I am still thinking its the relay. I tried disconnecting the relay and the reapplying and the light is still on. BTW..brake fluid is normal. Please advise.

check the wireing around your wheel speed sensors.... your brakes will work fine so long as your abs light remains on. if it flashes your brakes are in jepordy... i would be willing to bet, you have a broken wire from your wheel speed sensors.. hope this helps..
