Smoked (tinted) OEM Tail Lights
Has anyone come across any of these in person? I've been wanting an "other than stock" look for my tail lights but the covers are ugly and the altezza look is just too cheap. I came across these on ebay but am hesitant as im not sure of the darkness of them (you get to choose 1,2,3 or 4 as darkness but without a chart it is a bit tricky to determine what tint you want) and i obviously cant afford to drive around for a week or 2 without my tail lights. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW
I have a pewter denali and i think that the tinted look will compliment my tinted windows perfect (seeing as besides my grille and rims everything else on the outside of the car is either black or pewter). Anyone have any input? Also, if i remember correctly on an episode of "Punk'd" on MTV i believe Justin Temberlake had tinted tail lights on his Escalade EXT, not sure if they were covers or whatever but i liked the way it looked. Re: Smoked (tinted) OEM Tail Lights
Ok, i have stumbled upon what seems to be the only "do it yourself" tail light tinting option. It is called "Night Shade" which is manufactured by VHT. It actually looks like it is pretty popular and i have yet to come across someone who does not recommend this product after using it.
It is a transparent smoke spray, so the more coats you apply the darker it will be. I am probably going to pick up a pair of used tail lights and see how good i can get it to turn out. |
