Still A Cold Start!!!

you can run 5W30 in your car down to -40F I will look it up later if I can find my books on it. I have a complete oil chart somewhere that tells what oils at what temps and what oils for what power ranges and operation types.

ok...im due for an oil change so i will try moving to 5w30. should i move to synthetic, also like you were using??? i dont think my car has ever ran on synthetic so i dont know. i strictly use penzoil 10w30 and i the previous owner put nothing but penzoil in also.

well today i even tried using a cold start spray that you spray directly in the air stream. i think it uses ether. well that didnt work either....

i looked at the local parts store and i came across a bunch of heaters for cars. first, there was a oil pan warmer that sticks to the bottom of your oil pan. two, there was one that sat between your lower radiator hose and heated the coolant. third, there was another one that sat between the lower radiator hose and pumped the coolant and heated it at the same time but it seemed a little high priced. lastly, there was one that sat either in the drain plug of the radiator or replaces the pressure cap of the radiator. i forgot which. anybody every had results with these? which one would work best? will they even work?
