Car wants to bog at light

I just bought a 97 Sunfire, had no engine light.. Idled low at stops rumbled and shook like it was going to stall, ran great on e-way. Took it to autozone and had sensors tested. Came back as a (PO300) tune up. OK so we put plugs (platnium, baush) and new wires on it yesterday. Now after driving it a couple times. (BTW was a little better at idle...When it was first done) Took it out this morning and the engine light is on and acting seriously worse. Is there anyway that we put the wires on wrong? It didnt say there was a sequence to them. OR maybe a possibility for not having them straight while putting cover on? I read maybe the IAC could be bad? ITs not showing on scan...HELP>>>>>PLEASE!!!!!!!

1st thing, bosch plugs are GARBAGE. Replace with AC Delco platinums. p0300 is a random mis-fire code, so it could be caused by bad plugs, wires or a bad fuel injector. I assume since you changed wires, you have a 2.2 (quad -4's dont have wires). Don't go cheap on the wires either, as cheap replacement wires leak spark as bad or worse than the old OEM wires. As I read on you said something about not having them straight as you put the cover on, which makes me think you have a Quad-4. IF that is the case, the plastic housing that holds the coils and module are known to carbon track and jump spark between cylinders. If teh car is a Quad-4, replace the plastic coil housing, and get those POS bosch plugs out of there.

I found out what was wrong.......

Took it in for diag. Needs engine, has over 104, miles. #3 cylinder dead, because of it, it jumped time. Dealer wants 3000 to drop used engine in it, w/ 64, miles. Just not worth it,not to broke a## me, anyways... If anyone seriously wanting a great body w/a new paint job, w/clean interior...w/recalls done, just needs engine...let me know. Will take no less then $1200. Live in outer sub Detroit area.
