Check Engine Light Soon...
I just changed the fuel pump & fuel filter in my 98 Blazer, but the check engine light soon is still on the instrument panel. Is there a way to reset this light? I know on my Civic if I pull the negative off the battery for 30 secs it resets, so I was wondering if Chevy does the same type of thing. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks. |

stop by an Autozone and the can reset it with there scan tool if you don't have one handy |

Re: Check Engine Light Soon...
Get the code read so you can figure out what is causing the problem.

Re: Check Engine Light Soon...
This may sound stupid but make sure your gas cap is on tightly. A loose cap will cause the light to pop on.

Mine SES kept going on. turned out my gas cap was shot. Thanks to autozone, I didnt spend a fortune trying to change out O2 sensors and other equipment.
