Overheating
The car had overheated due to a fan motor. Replaced the motor.
but it still overheats. I think its either a heat gasket or cracked head. Anyway to tell without removing the head. Im trying not to put much money into the car. There is no coolant in the oil. I have not tested the coolant for the existance of hydrocarbons. |

Re: Overheating
you may have just enough of a crack in the gasket to let pressure out but fluids not back in, it happened to mine. do you hear a boiling sound when you shut the car off? but see no loss of coolant, or see any oil on the coolant? mine would just bubble and that's it. until I got no heat in the car on a cold winters day.
