Re: Someone stole my dads Corvette!

front damage is passenger light is busted out, and hood damage

thr rear passenger tire is sticking out so bad, hell i've never seen anything like that.

damage isn't that bad, but its definatly $6000 worth of damage

it seems like some dumb little kid stole it and didn't know how to handle something that strong and lost controll.

youngvr4 I'm glad it was only some stupid kid taking it for a joyride. Profesional thieves would've had it out of the country or in a million parts by now.

I bet your dad is happy to see his baby back even if a bit damaged.

A stolen car is a slow car... time to make it faster to keep it out of the reach of thieves.

Wow, that's a real shit deal. But hey, atleast you've got it back. So how much is the insurance going to cover, not sure if I understood what you said about it.

Re: Someone stole my dads Corvette!

well that sucks. at least you got it back. i thought you said you had $8000 of coverage.

I would be so happy to get it back, youd be fucked with no insurance if you couldnt get it back.

Re: Someone stole my dads Corvette!

I honestly don't know why your pops leaves his car running without being inside of it. I do feel for your family, but leaving a $40K car running unattended, isn't a good idea. With your house all you need to do is change the locks. I'm sure your pops had insurance, so that should take care of the vette. I wish your family luck.

Re: Someone stole my dads Corvette!

like i said before, we were inbetween insurance but there is still a 8000 dollar physical damage insurance on it. so it should cover everything.

if you look in my sig the cars are up in our driveway and its on a dead end, i don't know i wouldn't really think that would happen, especially when its only 2 minutes tops in the back of a dead end up in our property, but oh well, you live and you learn

Yeah, let's see pictures. It's a good thing the insurance will cover it.

Re: Someone stole my dads Corvette!

I know how that is man, my moms bronco got stolen at about 3 A.M. a couple years ago and we never saw it ever again.

These kind of things piss me off and not just the regularly irritated pissed off you may have after a bad day but I mean enraged pissed off.

I'm glad the car was found and it sounds like insurance will be able to cover it. Don't let this theft turn you paranoid but you've got two HOT cars (i personally prefer the vr4) so either equip yourselves with a nice security system or always keep em locked when you aren't around and never have them out of sight when they're running because a lot of thefts occur that way.

Re: Someone stole my dads Corvette!

Well thats the best way I could have seen it working out, Glad it was just a joyride and not actual theft of anything. Might want to look into carbon fiber hood, HIDs, and upgraded suspension!
