Shifting problems- 04' Altima

I just bought a new 04' 5 speed and have been having problems shifting from 1st to 2nd. It seems like the clutch needs to be adjusted because it grinds a little going into 2nd and sometimes it pops when comming out of 1st like you don't have the clutch pushed in all the way. I have tried every way of shifting I can think of- slow, medium, different speeds and rpms, holding the clutch in a second or two before shifting and it don't help. I have noticed the problem has got worse since it has turned colder. It seems when the car has been run awhile and is warmed up it is not as bad. I took it to the dealer and naturally they didn't find anything wrong with it. Is this happening to someone else? I am not happy with the answer I get from the dealer about this.
Any comments will be appreciated!

Thanks, Ba24dupont

Re: Shifting problems- 04' Altima

Hmmm that seems odd. Since it is a new car, it would have to be under warrentee if something was indeed wrong. Did the tech. at the dealer drive it? If so, I would try another Nissan dealer and see what happens. It does seem odd that this is happening to you - Nissan is usually top notch for reliability and quality, similar to Toyota or Honda.

Good luck!
