crazy electrical(?) problems

I'm brand new here, and so relieved that I've found this forum... maybe someone here can help me out.

A little over a month ago, my car started doing strange things. Occasionally, and totally at random, I'd flip on my turn signal and my door locks would lock and unlock on their own. Other times I would turn on my windshield wipers and my headlights would turn off. Shortly after all this started happening, my car completely lost power one night and I had to have it towed to my mechanic. Both the alternator and battery needed to be replaced. It cost a lot of money, but I figured it would be worth it if it meant the end of the odd problems I'd been having.

Last week, the same old problems started to come back, only worse than before. I took my car back in to the mechanic yesterday and he hooked it up to the computer and said the battery needed to be replaced again. Thankfully, he did so for free. Again, I thought this would be the end of my problems. Buuut, on my way home my door locks started going crazy.

Has anyone else had similar problems? Can anyone tell me what this might be? Thanks in advance to anyone who's able to offer feedback.
