Lightbulb Spark Knock - '94 Dakota

I suffer from a spark knock in my 1994 Dakota sport. It has the V6 Engine.

My mechanic and I have tried the usual tune up without success. I now buy high test gasoline which helps and keep I the RPM's up a little as well.

Any thing that I can try? Any performace suggestions that might help?

Re: Spark Knock - '94 Dakota

look down inside your throttle body. do you see excessive oil? the 3.9's are known for blowing the belly pan gasket under the intake. it will suck oil into the intake and cause it to spark knock. i suggest you replace the belly pan gasket and the intake mainifold gaskets. i just had to do it to mine a couple of monthes ago for the same thing.
