Mk 1 golf

What companies made a mk1 golf? I think tamiya made one but is there any other companies that made them?

Yes, It is an Imai. I think it is out of production, though. If you are looking for something like that, why don't you get the Tamiya Golf 1? It has a very similar body.

Isnt the Revell "Hot Tuner" Golf a MkI ? And it comes with body kits.and an engine. maybe this could be used with another kit as well though i find Revells scale to be smaller than import models.

Very hard to find a good MK1 kit these days.
Fujimi also made a kit, but itīs out of production.

FUJIMI - 1/24 VW Golf I GTI/Ci1,7

TAMIYA - 1/24 Golf Racing

IMAI - 1/24 VW Golf GTI

Also, AMT produced a "Cafe Racer" (fancy term for SCCA club racer) kit of the Volkswagen Rabbit, which was the MkI Golf in the states.

It's a pretty good kit with full detail. Certainly one to locate.
