front bumper
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if I could fit 00 civic front bumper on my 97 civic. Is that possible? |

yes it could, will it be easy no . 2000 civics had different larger headlights which would also require being changed if you wanted to do the swap and i believe that is it; maybe something to do with the mountings but im not sure

I was going to replace my headlights anyway,
do I need to replace the mountings or not? |

Re: front bumper
best way to go about it is to do an entire front end conversion. You'll need the hood, bumper, headlights, fenders and I think the bumper support. And for what I know, it's all bolt on.

Re: front bumper
I thought that the hood and the fenders wore the same, but if in need to replace all that then its not worth it, To expensive.

Re: front bumper
no, the fenders and hood aren't the same. The headlights are shaped differently.

its is very easy to see the difference between the 2 head on try looking at the front of a 96-98 civic and the front of a 99-00 civic

Re: front bumper
You will definately need to do a whole front end conversion to make it fit right. You can mount the bumper on without changing the fenders and hood, but it will not line up clean. A friend of mine learned that the hard way and it is pretty whack looking...
