YES u can go larger than 17" wheels!!!
Okay since i know that AF.com get alot less visitors then say some other honda forusm sites, let me fill u guys in.
THe reason yoru modding your car, is for YOU!! NOt for what every1 else! With that out of tha way, yes u can go alot bigger than a 17" rim/tire package on your civ.. & it wont look bad if done right. Any probs, check out tha kids that belong to TEAMeci.com - most of them are rocking 18" & bigger on there daily drivers. On a show car (which those are, and never meant to be driven) sure they look fine. For a daily driver they will rub like crazy if you try to take a turn, and if you hit a speed bump going more than .0001mph on those stupid rubberband tires say goodbye to the $2000 rims you just bought.

18's on a civic?! It's not a freaken truck.. how about 22's or even 24's. The concept of civic's on big rims is just STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A civic should not wear anything bigger than 16's.

those are some sweet-looking show cars... but i like to drive mine
 nothing like that would be able to get into my county... between the brick streets and the country roads, you'd lose your exhaust, suspension, body kit, and anything else on the bottom of the car.

Ricochet is right. sure it's possible for 18's to look good on civics but, they aren't practical for a car thats a daily driver in the average, bumpy, pot hole filled city. it really depends on what you want to do with the car. thats where you have to make the desicion.

Gusto, do you have 18’s on your civic? And if so how do they feel when you drive? I’m not being judgmental or anything I just want to know if you hade to change the way you drive with them on.
