93 Voyager Wont Start

My Van will not start! It does nothing...I can hear the Fuel Pump "ignite" and it has lights..etc... It does not even try to crank. I checked the battery, it's good. I checked the Starter, it's great! What else could it be? The ignition switch? A relay? Help!!!

As of today, I am having EXACT same problem. Turn key and fuel pump runs for a second, all startup lights come on (i.e. check engine, seat belt, blah blah) and they all stop after that second. During that time the stater never tries to fire. No souinds from under the hood other than a single click (which must be the starter relay). DESPERATELY need assistance. Will be checking ground, leads, and for spark. Will let you know how this turns out, but until then !!!

Not the correct way but quick way will be to take a screwdriver and short out between the 2 starter moter terminals (where the 2 wires go on to the starter), if the engine turns you could have a bad ignition on the steering column.

Had the same problem as wendyma's earlier this spring. It could be the ignition switch as mentioned but it also could be in the wiring harness between the fuse/relay center under the hood and the ignition. There are a couple of not-so-obvious fusible links in this harness. The other problem can be a broken wire. Test for power to the ignition - both red wires should be +12v. Since you may not need to change the switch, it is easier to remove the fuse access panel under the dash and use a test probe on the wires where they go up into the column. Poking a pin hole in the insulation won't bother things here since it is a dry location. If both are +12, check the switch (or the starter circuit)otherwise check the wiring harness under the hood. With mine, one of the two red wires had rubbed on the edge of the power center box under the hood, moisture got in and corroded the wire inside the insulation. At a glance, the wire looked fine. It is hard to spot but if this could be happening to yours, look for a bit of "green fuzz" on the outside of the wire(s).
ThanatosCV66 this may not help you since the "click" suggests a relay is closing and the starter circuit may be getting power but checking the wires will rule out that aspect.

Thanks everyone for all your advice. Once I removed the ignition module everything looked fine. I then removed the ignition cylinder from the module and found my problem, the spring had broken and part of the end of the cylinder (which would control the engine being engaged) broke. Once these were replaced, I merely had to get a jump (due to getting data from the diagnostic code (of which there isn't any for this problem) and many attempts to start).

The biggest indicator of the problem was taking a screwdriver and crossing the starter's posts without ignition. Power was there, starter was good, wires were fine, fuses good. VERY quick way of diagnosing. If I had found no spark, I would check all fuses and wires next, before removing the starter (which in this vehicle is NO EASY feat). It's not hard, but time consuming.
