Talking honda civic 2001 ex remote keyless porgram

i just got a honda civic 01 ex and the owner only had one keyless remote control. I want to add one more, so i can have 2. I was thinking of buying one of these honda keyless remote
something like this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33723

on ebay i saw a person selling a remote and saying "This remote will be delivered to you with easy to follow programming instructions that will allow you to program your remote at your convinence in less than 5 minuites."

get one from ebay and go to dealer and they program it or Can i get the remote from ebay and porgram the keyless remote control myself?lol

well, it if comes with instructions you can probably do that yourself. Programming that shit can be a bitch sometimes though. I tried to program the built in garage door opener in our '99 Odyssey, never got the damn thing to work. Thank god for replacement remotes.

if you can't end up doing it yourself i'm almost positive that you can take it to a dealer and they will do it for your for free.

My mom accidentally washed one of my remotes so I took it to the dealer to get it replaced, ended up just paying 6 bucks for a new battery (yah got ripped off lol) and a tech programmed it for me in a couple minutes and I was on my way.

Talking

I got the remote to work. It took a while because you have read and program at the same, plus if u make a mistake you got to do it over. Spend only 14 dollar on the remote and did not have to go to the dealer to program it
