|
problem with my amp
i have a 2 channel 1600w boss amp and its been working fine for like 2 weeks then it just completely turns off like no power is running to the amp. it not hot or the red light turns on. its just completely dead. can any of u guys help me with this?

the thing is that when it turns off the next i turn it on then it goes off again could it still be the fuse??

Your amp is not of high quality. The heatsink on it probably sux. The amp turns off as a mechanism designed to save it from overheating or blowing. Once so much power is put out the amp is told to shut off. This is my guess. I've had amps do the same thing, mainly Bazooka. Once it shuts off you have to turn the deck off and then back on, then the amp will turn back on again when it gets the signal. If this is the problem it will only get worse as the amp gets older.
