problems with headlights, door locks, radio led and cruise control

ok... been searching the forums and have not seen anybody report this issue... mabye sombody has seen this before...
If I have the headlights on... the doors will not auto lock when I start moving and the cruise controll does not work....
Now if I turn the headlights off.... the doors will lock automatically when I move forward...the cruise works fine but the led on the radio goes out when I press on the brake.
It is not really causing any problems right now but it seems to be getting progressively worse... The 1st thing I noticed a few years ago was that I would start driving and sometimes 10-20-30 min later the doors would finally lock..than the cruise started to work/not work... then I noticed the led on the radio going out and it was all very intermittant for quite a while....But now it is to the point where this is a constant thing and the fact that it has gotten worse kinda worries me.

any ideas?

What year is the car, what other bells and whistles do you have (alarm system, keyless entry, etc..)

it is a 98... we do have the keychain remotes for the doors and trunk... never had any problem with thoes...rear defog, a/c, cruise, ... no alarm..it was a corprate car so the bells and whistles are pretty quiet ;-)
