Hello, I recently installed a car stereo in my pulsar. I hard wired it in and as soon as I turned on the headlights there was a burning smell and the interior gauge lights don't work, both the low beam and high beam are on simultaneously and you can't switch either on or off with the high low beam turn signal switch. (when the lights are on they are both on, when they are off, they are both off).
I found out info that one of the apparent grounds that I was using was apparently related to the lights, I unconnected it and the problem still persists. Does anybody have any idea what's wrong. Is there a fusible link related to any of this, a fuse blew but i replaced it and it didn't make a difference, also which relay is reponsible for switching between high and low beems any idea. Anyway any help would be appreciated thanks Mike |

Re: head light problem (stereo related)
Read the posts on this section with wiring problems. It is supposivly a common thing going on with Stereo's and Pulsars. You need to ground the Green wire with a black stripe to get your lights to work again. This is all behind your stereo.
