1971 Chevelle LS 5
I'm looking at restoring a '71 LS-5 which currently has a bench seat and column shift. Should I go to bucket seats and console shifter or would this reduce the value? Who has an opinion?

If the bench seat is original then it would redude the value. How long do u plan on keeping this car for?

Re: 1971 Chevelle LS 5
I did that to my 72 that came with a bench and a column shifter. I went back to the original set up (bench and column shifter)a few years ago and am happier with it now. Especially after finding out that my original had somewhat lower production #'s. Keeping it original usually increases the value,

Well either way is cool. Just think about this. I had a bench in one of my chevelles and my wife would sit next to me all the time which is great. Plus other things are easier to do in a bench seat. I did put buckets in and then she couldnt sit next to me anymore. That just some insight on what I would think about.
