1. First off.... PLEASE use some periods in your sentences. I had to read it 4 times to figure out what the heck you actually wanted.
2. Changing transmission fluid really isn't too bad. I did mine over the summer in about an hour. All you need is a new gasket and screen kit (only like $20 I think), the right size socket, something to catch the fluid in, and be able to jack up the car. I basically jacked up the car and put in on jack stands. Then I loosened the pan the most at the driver side rear of the pan and placed the fluid catch pan under that until most of it drained. Then you just take of the pan and screens inside the tranny. Clean any gunk off of the pan, especially where the magnets are. Put it all back together, and make sure to use the right pattern and torque specs. I believe this gets MOST of the tranny fluid, but some is in the torque converter. There may be a drain for that, but I didn't find it, so I didn't drain that. 3. The EGR valve is behind the driver side of the intake manifold. If you are going to clean it, make sure you have a replacement gasket ahead of time. |

Re: tranmission fluid change
The original gasket is steel and much better qaulity than the cork that usually comes from the parts place. I have reused mine 4 times now with no leaks.
There is a plug inside the pan that drains the upper part of the transmision. I think it is on the drivers side towards the front. Don't remember for sure. Look around for the bolt that is by itself. It's not a bolt, it's a drain plug. |

Re: tranmission fluid change
after you change it this way, including the upper-drainplug... how much fluid was left in the tranny (or how much did you replace)? im thinking of doing this and replacing with redline tranny fluid, but i want to make sure its almost all the fluid (i believe redline can be used with any conventional that gets stuck in there, but i'm going to check first obviously) before i spend the money on the redline fluid
