2000 GTS Power, noise, and clutch help

I just bought a 2000 GTS for my wife. Beautiful car but I need help with a couple of issues. First, what is the best (economical) way to improve the low-mid range power? Second, the car came with a TRD exhaust system which is fine, but that noisy muffler has got to go. Any suggestions on a direct replacement? Lastly, the clutch doesn't disengage until the peddle is depressed nearly to the floor. Is this normal? What is the adjustment procedure? The car has 43K miles on it and the clutch works fine.
Thanks,
Jack

Not looking to sell it. I just need to make it quieter.
Thanks!

Re: 2000 GTS Power, noise, and clutch help

I think you spend alot of time and effort making a sport exhaust `quieter` that will just be waisted, they are built to not restrict gas flow too much so less baffles/more noise etc it would be much easyer to sell your backbox to `mistabones` and use the cash to purchase a quieter one or standard one as far as I know there is no way to quiten a sport/aftermarket back box. the quietest exhaust I know of is a scandinavian manufacturer called Jetex, good performance with very little noise. I have a similar `problem` with the clutch although its not really a problem, just a late `biting/release` point on the clutch, you`ll get used to it soon enough.

I believe the problem may be a missing baffle. Do these mufflers come with a removable baffle? If so, does anyone have one they are willing to part with?
