we just bought a used 89 Century from an older lady. The serpentine belt is starting to squeal and we wanted to tighten it down or replace if needed. Can someone instruct us on how to do this? Because of the way it wraps we are not sure where to start?
Also had a question on power steering fluid - is there a specific type to use? .3, .4?? thanks! |

Re: 89 Century - Belts and Power Steering Fluid
That or a stretched belt. Perhaps a replacement is in order. Sometimes you can use some spray oil and the move the tensioner with the belt off to free it up for a while. But the shoulder/axle bolt wears one one side so if it is sticking you will need to replace the tensioner fairly soon. Good Luck.
