Teg Parts on 89 Hatch Questions.

1)Will a rad out of a 90 teg GS fit my Car? (89 hatchback with ZC swap)

2)How hard is it to install power windows in my car? and how hard is it to install the door panels?

3)Can I Use the Powersteering Rack? if so how hard is it to install?

4)Can I Use the whole braking system (rear discs, proportioning valve, front knuckle assembly, master cylinder, and brake booster) even though the car has ABS? will i have to convert my car to abs?

5)Can I use the B18 ECU with my ZC?

please let me know asap. thanx

Re: Teg Parts on 89 Hatch Questions.

1 - I think it will but you will need to play with the top radiator mounts because I think the teg radiator will sit to high making it hard to close your hood.

2 - I dunno cause I never did it so just look around on the internet cause theres probably a tutorial somewhere.

3 - Dunno.

4 - Rear Disc conversion will work. As for the others not sure. I think you could do the fronts as well.

5 - Umm....I dunno. Plug it in and see what happens!

  • 1) the radiator won't work, it is too tall
  • 2)the power windows you need are from the 4 door. you need the front tracks and motors. you willl need to swap the sliders on the regulators, because the 4 door sliders are too short. the sliders from your manual regulators wil work perfectly. I also recommend doing aftermarket switches and relays as well as an aftermarket power window module for an alarm system. I used the DEI 530-T(Viper). the basic reason you want this is, you get thermal protection when someting is in the path of the glass as it goes up. the module will stop the glass. If you have any questions about the power window install let me know I have done it a few times. For myself and friends.
  • 3) the braking system works, knuckles, rotors, calipers, rear trailing arms. However the ABS system probably won't. there is sensors and wiring and lots of brake lines to run, plus an ABS computer. I personally don't think it would be worth it.
  • 3) the master cyclinder won't work either. However, you can get the master from the 90-91 ex 4 door, it is the same size. the difference is the mounting holes where it attaches to the brake booster. it is oppisite in the "TEG".
  • 4) Sorry I messed up the order, The power steering rack will not work, you will need the rack from the 90-91 EX 4 door, plus the lines and pump, that will work fine.
  • 5) The Integra ECU will work for a DOHC ZC. (90-93 Integra)

You can use the calipers from an Integra, from a model with ABS, no problem. That is what I used. I was going to use the booster and master from the Integra as well, but it was cheaper to just get the master from the 90-91 EX 4 door. I was going to fit the Integra booster but it looked a bit too big.
