92-es300 3.0 v6 head gasket Help?
Hi there, I just traded a 94 honda accord for a 92 lexus es300 with a blown head gasket. I was wondering if it would be easier to fix the heads or just replace the engine? Does anyone know of a good site to find out the pros and cons on this car? This is my first Lexus/Toyota. I have done alot of Honda swaps and repairs but dont have a clue "never fixed or messed with" on repairing this car. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks

Re: 92-es300 3.0 v6 head gasket Help?
If the engine doesn't have a whole lot of miles on it, then it would be worth it to replace the headgasket, and possibly get the heads rebuilt. Also note that Toyotas do not get along well with aftermarket headgaskets. So be sure to spend the extra money and get the headgasket or headgaskets from a Toyota/Lexus dealer and make sure it says "Genuine" (sp?) on it.

Yeah. That might be a better way to go. A 40-60k mile engine should have a lot more power, anyway, compared to a 190k mile engine.
