radio seems to have died
I was driving on the interstate in my 02 Impala LS, when the radio suddenly just stopped playing. Now it won't come on at all. The thing is, the keyless entry still works, which I was told runs through the radio. I tried switching the radio fuse with another fuse, but it didn't fix the problem. Any other things I can check before I have to take it to a dealership?

Re: radio seems to have died
Sorry to say, but you need a new radio. i don't know why chevy is having such a problem with the radios....lol let alone the car...but i had my radio replaced also. The tech side that the operation of the radio, and everything that runs through the radio, like the keyless and the settings for it are two different things. They just installed it in the same box the radio is in. I dont' know if this is true but it's what i was told.

Re: radio seems to have died
Finally got it fixed. Turns out there was a loose connector in the back. I remember there used to be a faint squeaking sound in the dash, but I had been ignoring it. Eventually, it worked its way loose and caused all the trouble. The shop didn't even charge me labor for the fix.
