vtec question

hello, i have a 89 civic dx with a b16 swap out of a 2000 civic si and i took it down to one of my buddies that knew a little more about honda engines than me and he told me my vtech wasnt hooked up.. the wires going to the vtec silinode where just hanging there... my car runs fine and everything.. so is the vtec even really worth getting fixed and if i did what all would i need to do to hook it back up??

Re: vtec question

well you should check and see if your buddy knows if you have the right ecu in your car, and if you have something to actually activate your vtec, example-rpm switch or VAFC.

i would definetely get it fixed.
