Transmission Rebuild?
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado with about 115,000 miles. The engine has been "jerking" into 2nd gear so I took it to the dealership. They say the transmission needs to be rebuilt. It this common since this truck is not very old? I drive primarily on highways and I thought this was supposed to help the life of an engine?? Anyway they gave me two options: total rebuild or have one sent from a factory. I just don't know what the best option would be (other than buying a new vehicle, different brand definitely) and would like some input. Thanks!
