Who has put a Turbo on a 2L DOHC Neon?

I am interested to talk with people who have modified their 2 Litre DOHC Neon's.

In particular, I am wanting to know what mods can be made to the drive train (Gear box ) to handle the extra power of the engine.

I am getting around 170 kw at the wheels and the standard gear box disintergrated.

My gear box expert tells me the standard box just wont handle the power the engine is putting out.

Has anyone put in a GT gear box from a PT or an SRT?

A 5spd tranny will hold up to the power of a turbo.

You'll need an upgraded clutch, however.

A five speed trans will not hold up to the power.

We have proven that by blowing the crapper out of the standard gear box.

Has anyone tried fitting a GT gear box to a Neon?

Strange...I've gotten 400HP out of my tranny.
