traction control light
I have a 2000 Impala and the traction control light is coming on as well as the brake light. It comes on with moderate acceleration on dry roads. If I brake and come to a slow roll the lights will go out. But come on again with the acceleration. I even turned the traction control off and tried it and light light still comes on. Any ideas ??
Thanks, Jim |

Re: traction control light
You could be in for a long road. I have been having the same problem on my 2000 since I hit 11,000 miles. 9 trips to the dealer later and the problem is still there. I also get a vibration and humming when the the traction light comes on. Dealer found two problems. First is the speed sensors and second was some pinched wires under a metal plate somewhere either in or near the trunk. Heat is also a problem. I live near the Mojave desert and as soon as the temp gets 80 or above my brake sensors go crazy. Good luck!
