A little help would be appreciated

I own a 1995 Monte Carlo. And recently, i have been having trouble getting my car to shift from park to drive. It's an automatic, i was just wondering if anyone might have some idea about what my problem might be. Thanks

well, always start with the easiest things first. Make sure there is nothing bent in the shift linkage between the shifter and the transmission. If nothings's bent, lube it up a little bit. OR, it could be a safety switch issue (since the brake has to be depressed to shift out of park).
