Question Synthetic Oil ??

2001 Blazer Trailblazer Option with 53 K miles.
Have been contemplating switching to synthetic oil. Have been searching the web for several weeks now and am almost convinced I should make the change - here's why: I drive back and forth to work each day, about 6 blocks, due to health reasons. Every other weekend I drive 70 mile roundtrip twice. Any other driving is in the city, stop and go. I live in the south central mountains of central Pennsylvania, temps getting down in the teens and sometime lower during winter.
Just looking for suggestions from this wonderful forum as to whether I should switch and recommendations of which oil to use if I switch.

Re: Synthetic Oil ??

Mobil 1.
Synthetic is always an improvement no matter how many miles. At least from what I understand.
