auxiliary power point--- cigarett lighter ?

i have a 2002 explorer xlt and the so called auxiliary power points--cigarette lighter dose not work and i checked all the fuses and they are fine i was woundering dose this thing have a in-line fuse on it or dose it run off something else because i cant figure it out someone please help im tierd of spending my weekends looking for this problem it sounds easy but im stupid or just haveing way to many beers when im looking for the fuse ????????????? help
