This is a 1987 Chevrolet Corvette. I’m parting with it because I would like a car I can drive all year round. The body is in great shape, just had a fresh paint job. Not show car paint but very nice. To my knowledge there are 3 tiny bubbles in the paint. One on each door and one on the front left side of the bumper. All lights work properly. The engine is from a 1988 Chevrolet Corvette, it had 60,000 miles on it. The engine runs about 189 degrees F, and it doesn’t over heat at all. The alternator was recently replaced because it gave out. The air conditioning doesn’t work. All parts are there just needs servicing. There are some wires not connected to the air conditioning lines. The engine has steal headers installed with a hollowed out catalytic converter, then going straight out to new “super turbo” mufflers. The engine is also missing the plate that goes on the plenum over the distributor. I have it, just not the screws to put it on. Other than that the engine runs great and doesn’t over heat. I drove it from Syracuse to Old Forge all summer for the weekends, never had a problem. The 4+3 transmission is the four speed with O/D. The car shifts well and goes through all the gears, but when you down shift in second it pops out once in a while. I’m not sure why it does that, but should be an easy fix. It also has a brand new clutch. Brakes are 80% there, pads and rotors are in good condition. Rear tires are probably 50%. The interior is a little rough. The rear carpet appears newer than the front by the console. The driver’s floor carpet appears new also. The passenger side floor is faded along with the carpet that rides on the side of the doors passenger and driver door. There was also a roll cage in the car and the mounts in the front are welded in and the carpet is missing from there, if I had a portaband band saw they are easily removable and I have replacement door sill panels that go with the car. It’s the same on the other side. Also there are two mounts behind the head where the rear of the roll cage was installed. The seats are ok; they are worn but not bad. No holes in the seats. All the dash lights work, the radio works, the power windows work great. The car has been great! Just can’t not fit 5 people in it! Rear hatch opens manually only. Never tried to fix. The odometer shows 80,000 or so but does not work properly so true mileage is unknown. If I had to guess, 85,000 to 90,000 miles. The last owner said it quit working 3 months before I bought it. Also missing knob on headlight switch.
