Guage lights don't work
Hey guys I have a little question for anyone who knows.
I just bought my `01 Chevrolet Prism LSI VVT-I. The guage lights don't work... The center console lights do. (stereo/AC/Heater/etc...) From what I heard is that if all of the lights go out, then it's most likely the fuse. If the guages go out and everything else works fine, it's the bulbs. I did't check the fuses yet but I have opened it up and what I saw was that there are separate fuses for the guages and other electrical elements such as the blinkers, etc... Now my friend has the same thing on his `99 LSI. He has half of the guages light up and halp not. It doesn't look like Prisms have a very good lighting system since it looks like they simply put incandescent light bulbs in there and that's it. No backlight you know what I mean? Maybe it changed with the years but I don't know. If it's not the fuse, how hard would it be to change the bulbs? Thanks a lot guys. ![]()
