94 lx axles gotta get replaced

ok, i love my car, but it's dying. i have a 94 lx wagon, and we put brand new axles on it about 6 months ago, and it needs new ones already. they make a horrific clicking noise (very loud) whenever you turn under ANY acceleration. when i took it to pep boys for an alignment and such after replacing tie rod ends (lets just say i had to install a new right tie rod end and get 4 new wheels... lol) and they said i need new axles. the clicking was happening before i had to replace the other stuff though, so although it may have worsened the axles it's not the cause. anyway, i need to replace the axles, boots, and whatever else i should to keep this from happening again... what you guys think i need? and you have any price estimates... cause i've searched and no one will give me straight prices. thanks alot in advance

To fix mine when it was doing that all i did was get a high torque impact wrench and tightened the axle nuts, then the clicking went away...

Re: 94 lx axles gotta get replaced

it's a long story, but to save face for goin to pep boys here it is... well the stearing wheel would shake above 30, and we were pretty sure it might need a tie rod, but at the least an alignment. so we took it to pep boys cause it's just an alignment (they were also the cheapest within 20 miles... and when you can only go 30 without worrying you don't wanna go far). i also knew that if the tie rod was screwed up they wouldn't charge me for anything unless they actually do the alignment. so we find out which tie rod's bad, fix it, then go back to pep boys. then they tell us all 4 wheels are bent and need to be replaced... so we take it somewhere else and get the work done. we payed pep boys $0... and got told what needed to be fixed. they also told us the axles needed to be replaced, but i know they're right about that cause the axles were goin out about 9 months ago and they made the same noise, and when we got them fixed they stopped... until about 3 months before this accident. but yea, i will never take my car to pep boys for more than an alignment... cause i have friends that work at garages... but about 30 miles away, lol

Re: 94 lx axles gotta get replaced

lets just say stupid crazy teen driving? lol. my mom was even having fun, she was smiling. but i was goin around a bend near my house pretty fast and the back end started sliding out, but just a lil, it was cool cause it was almost like a small drift. but just as i was straightening out cause the turn was ending and i hit a small pothole and the front left tire lost contact long enough for the back end to slide all the way out and we went up a curb and slid into a big ol field. it wasn't that bad, my mom wasn't even mad, but it needed a new tie rod end and wheels. i payed for it, and it was at like 3 am in an area where there are no houses, so my mom just said go ahead and floor it and i did. i know, yelling will probly come from 50 people now, but at least i didn't make up some stupid excuse, right? i know it was stupid, but i know everyone has to have done something like this in their lifetime. but hey, the car's stearing is better than when we got it, so my mom hasn't complained
