Red face 1995 <> 2004 Chevy Owners

[color=teal]1995 <> 2004 Chevy Owners

To all Chevy Owners :
I have read a bizzillion complaints on our vehicles and complained to Chevy :
I own a 1997 Silverado,at 20,000 miles it went in for a knock and the dealer corrected the problem by boren out the head,so no more engine knock/ slap
I have not had the problem w/ the seals leaking due to I ONLY USE the ORANGE anti freeze in my truck ( green & red will break down seals )
Now I am haven the code 1870 appear which causes hard shiften n gears 1/2 , this is due to the valve body & tccp module.Also a small spring on the PWM,need to put a larger spring in place of smaller one. To correct the problem : Ream the valve body and install then Sonnax Valve Kit TCC regulator w/ sleeve.
Before haven this done, have a scanner put on and check these sensors : input & output sensors,throttle position sensor, vehicle speed sensor.
Also you will start to get the code P1345 <> this in its self is a pain ( cam & crankshaft sensor ) Before replacen these,check the timing to see if it is off,if it is you will need to replace timen belt,if not,replace these senors and have a scanner remove the code.W/ this code, your engine light is on,poor gas mileage,rough idle,and the smell of gas is present.
GM is aware of these problems,but stll continue to make the vehicles w/ the same products as they did in 1995, and the only lawsuit I know pending againstthem is for the SEALS & Antifreeze. all

Re: 1995 <> 2004 Chevy Owners

A P1345 can be caused by a few things:
1: Someone attempting to change timing by turning distributor- doesn't work on 96 and newer
2: Intake manifold gaskets replaced and distributor not replaced correctly
3: Distributor gear wear or timing chain problems

Chevy has taken steps to fix the problems, the new V8 engines don't have distributors and I think there was a transmission valve body change sometime in 2000.

11/ 05 /04 ....
We all know w/ these vehicles you can not change the timing and they did not change out the valve bodies on the newer vehicles, there are alot of UNHAPPY CHEVY OWNERS out there and while is costing us to repair GM's problems & faults <> they are sitten back gettng richer w/ each passing day and still assembling these vehicles w/ faulty parts.
