Grand Nationals are "loosely" muscle cars,a s they have big engine power. But in the purist's form, no. A '70-'72 Monte SS with the 454 option could certainly considered such. The later G-bodies? Nope. All little engines.

I own a 88 Monte Carlo SS and It's not a muscle car. It was at 180 HP, along with the GN as close as GM came to the concept in the 80's. No, the Corvette is not and never will be classified as a muscle car. It's a sports car.
