inside lights have a mind of their own???

i got a PAU 92

i noticed a few times when i lock my door with the remote twice or more..something funny happens

let's say im not it locked alright? so i click it again..then go in my house.. i get up at 3 in the morning for a pit stop and see the car by the window, and the inside lights light up, like there was a door opened but there isin't.. and stay lighted for about 30 seconds... then off for about a few minutes.. and then back on.. and so on ...first time i thought there was an intruder around my house that go in my beloved PA so i got out with a bat and saw no one.. the next time i noticed it happened , i got witht he keys and started the car for a 5 secondes and shut it down.. got out and locked the doors ONCE..

can any tell me why is it doing that? i don't want the car's battery going dead in the morning at -30 degrees and killing the battery..

No your not alone, My car did that where the lights would never go off. after I locked and unlocked the car the lights would always stay on. Then after doing it a million times they finally went off. I reset the ECM and it was ok since. It did this a few times, basically the Alarm ECM screws up and cause the lights to come on and off.. Reset the car and you should be ok. But its one of the electronical screwups that this car has that will do it for a while then never do it again.. Not a big worry. let me know if this helps.

reset the car... as in unplugging the battery a few minutes?

i tryed resetting the car..well i unplugged the battery terminal for 3-4 minutes and put it back.... 15 minutes later, it was at it again

i don't get it, sometimes the SECURITY light flashes in the dash when i lock my door and sometimes it doesn't.. is there a link ?

should i unplug the battery longer?

Sounds like you have issues with the alarm... You might have to have it checked or disarmed. It has to do with that however..

can i cancel the alarm myself?

i found a button on a wire near the parking break pedal.. i dunno hat is it but seem to be a reste.. i pressed it and it didn't do anything.


when you lock your car, does your security light come on or flash?

when does it come on?

yea when you lock the car, the security light comes on for about 15 seconds and the interior lights come on for about 1 sec. Also i forgot to mention the twilight sentinel switch might be screwed up.. move it around and see if it stops. maybe clean the internal of it by getting some contact cleaner and spray it thru the front of the switch.
