Z3 fenders

I had messed up one of my fenders so i got a new pair...they took forever to ship but when they got here and i gave them to a professional to paint and put on my car he told me that it took him almost 12 hours of service just trying to fit one of the on. he said he had to shave multiple parts and and attach parts from a stock civic fender just to fit it on....is that normal at all? I know that when i ordered they had me fill out what year my civic was. Just wonderin if anyone else had that problem?

12 hours of service? That sounds a bit extreme to me...
But I do hear that they don't always fit properly.

i have Z3 fenders on my ride and they look super cool...super....i think they look better than most cars because of my wide body, but whatever the case, they're awesome looking. and they didnt have much problems fitting either.
