Unhappy Ls/ Vtec problem can you guys help me!

I have a ls/ vtec 11.5.1 motor with a gsr head. When I put on the timming belt and I try to turn the motor it dosent turn.. It does for 2 or 3 turn and its locks..What can it be?? Can it be the head or the block is deck (milled) that the valve is hitting the piston .Or can it be I put the cams wrong or something....Does any one any advise....

you do 2 ro 3 full turns which because oen full turn on the crank is only half turn on teh cam so 2 full turns on the crank is only 1 full turn on the cam, maybe its #2exhaust or #1intake valves that are hitting.

hows did you come to the conclusion that you had 11.5 cr ?

the valves are hitting the pistons, the pistons dome is too high or cams too much lift.

thats why i asked how did you determine your cr is 11.5 ?
