who the hell thinks of this stuff? Why would you spend so much time and money on a rwd or awd conversion for a civic? The gain would be so minimal compared to the price.

Re: RWD Civic

It's unique. And if done right you can really high gains and get better ¼ mile times than any Civic. Take Stephan Papadakis for instance, he put a RWD conversion and uses an NSX motor in his '00 (maybe '01) civic and hit something like 6.8 in the ¼; might have been even faster. But with a FWD car the fastest you can get is into the 8's, because of traction issues.

Which is very true for someone with a mildly modified engine. Except that im having a race motor built and i believe the benny's would out weigh the cost.

Re: RWD Civic

It's got to be damn expensive, especially paying someone to do it. If I had the $ I'd just do the RSX Type R swap, or do a cheap swap and buy a cheap RWD car

true they are ugly but using its drivetrain would prob be the easiest way to go awd or rwd

Re: RWD Civic

Yeh you can use the CRV awd. They've done the gsr awd before. Search on here and you'll find it. I'm too lazy to search

Re: RWD Civic

People have made awd civics with turbo dsm engines, but we all know how reliable those are.. it's also been done with a CRV engine/drivetrain but I agree with the "just buy a rwd/awd car" statement.
