Power steering pulley removal question
I am trying to replace my power steering pulley on my 95 silverado w/ 5.7 ltr., I have the removal tool but do I need to remove the hex bolt (I think it is a bolt) first and if so what way does it loosen? I tried both ways but can't seem to budge it.
Thanks in Advance.............Tom |

The hex bolt is part of the shaft. Your puller should slip over the lip on the pulley and the threaded bolt on the puller threads into the center of the "hex bolt".

Re: Power steering pulley removal question
Don't try to move the "hex bolt" as you can end up destroying the pulley, from personal experience. Just use a puller designed for the those pulleys
