Changing the headgaset

i know how on other cars, was wondering if theres anything special i need or need to do when taking the head off, i dont need to replace nething but the gasket, previous owner changed waterpump, timing belt, rear seal an did a major tune up only 2000 miles ago. thanks

What size engine are you talking about? Usually the procedure is the same for most cars. You will need to change the head gasket, oil, coolant, all upper end gaskets and thermostat, once you put it back together. Make sure if the engine you are changing the head gasket on has torque to yield bolts that you replace them with new ones and torque according to specifications. Also if you are doing a V6 change both head gaskets at the same time, it will save you a lot of grief later.
