Passat Coolant Leak

I have a W-reg 1.9TDI (115bhp - chipped to 130bhp). It has started losing coolant - fairly quickly. It only leaks when running - i.e. can be left for two days without dropping at all.

The garage have tried a couple of seals - but had no luck. There's no visible signs of leakage - possibly because it's hidden under a plastic cover somewhere.

Has anyone seen this problem before? Any advice would be very much appriciated!

Cheers,

Murray

Re: Passat Coolant Leak

I've had trouble spotting the leaks at the plastic flanges where the radiator & heater hoses join the cylinder head. They tend to get small cracks thay you can't see until you remove them.

dude, that sucks,

I had the same problem with my car and when i got it fixed they said it was the housing for the thermostat. It costs like $180 to get it fixed, but i havent had the problem since then. The price sucks to get it fixed but unless u wanna pay $10 every 2 weeks on coolant its not bad at alll.
