Re: brokedown jeep

humm well if it doesn't have anything to do with the STEREO SYSTEM (which I doubt), then it sounds like (Stalling, hard time to start) it is possibly a bad CPS (CrankShaft Position Sensor).

but on the other hand the guages acting wierd are some signs of the a battery and/or Alt. going bad.

BROKEDOWN J what year is ur jeep.
: whtat do u guys think about the Battery Temp Sensor, do u think it might have anything to do with it. My jeep is a 94 so I don't really know if it would affect it. I know it adjusts the Charging for Cold and Warm weather, and thats where my knowledge ends.....lol

Is your check engine light comming on? The could have ran a screw or a drill through a wire like another post said. Usually if you have a problem after work was done it is related. If you have 13.5 volts on the altenator is seens to be good. Look for a bad bare wire.

HELP!!!!

only thing about that is its all d/c'ed but still runs the same. car stays runnin after i remove neg cable from battery. the jeep is a 94 and i believe its the coolant temp sensor thats bad. the coolant sensor light is on the display. someone else was tellin me it could be just a short in a wire somewhere. sounds very likely just finding that wire doesnt sound so simple. and no, no check engine light. its really buggin me out

If your getting a bad coolant temp sensor code from the check engine light I would replace it only abot 12 $ If it is the coolant level sensor it should not efect engine performance. If looking for a short check the wirring back from the sensor into the harness.
