cd player problems

i am trying to install a new cd player in my 98 jeep. it has a infinity sound system with a 6 disc cd changer. i put a new cd player in it and i am getting power to it but no sound. this problem usually means that wires are touching but it is a clean install. i just have no idea what the problem is. when i put the stock cd player back in the sound works...help me

Re: cd player problems

Saw on another forum something like this before. Think it has to do with the antenna wire hooking up to a blue wire from the deck. Do more research i dont think the deck is bad.

I think carribean is right, It sounds like your amp is not turning on with the new unit-therefore, no sound. The blue wire (from the head unit) is your power antenna/remote wire. This needs to be connected to your amp remote wire (sorry, but i am not sure what color that wire is) If you are using a wiring harness just follow the wiring instruction for the power antenna or remote and connect the blue wire from the head unit to it.

Re: cd player problems

yea SCOSCHE....lol

Ok well go back thru the wiring on the SCHOSCHE harness and the wiring for the new deck , and make sure they right.

I swapped my infinity out fr a pioneer , got the wiring harness and read thru both of the wiring instructions made sure they were hooked up right, and I haven't had a problem.
