I herd of software for your laptop that would allow you to reprogram your door locks, rev. limiter and so on as well as give you any trouble codes and let you reset your oil reminder.

You might be correct but I haven't seen any good PC software yet, you'd also need the cable interface. I use a MoDiC II. [$15,000] and already becoming outdated.
