hood won't open help

anyone know how to get a hood open on an 1981 300sd i pilled the lever inside the car which opened the hood a little but the lever directly under the hood is jammed what can i do withouy breaking the damn thing any advice would be helpful. thank you

Try having someone hold down the hood on the spot that wont open cause it has two latches and then pull the hood latch.
