Diesel warming light?
Is it normal to never see the diesel preheating light on the instrument panel? Mine never lights up, but I have checked the bulb and it's fine.
Should I book a service to look for a deeper problem? |

Re: Diesel warming light?
HDI (High Pressure Diesel Injection) engines don't need almost no time to heat up glow plugs. In cold weather though, if u turn the ignition key on u should se the light for 1-2 seconds. Do u have any problems to start your car?

I saw it! I think you're right, it was just too quick for me to see if the weather wasn't really cold.
That's a big difference from my other diesel vehicle which takes about 15 seconds to warm up. |
